About MgO Ceramic
A ceramic consisting mainly of magnesium oxide. It belongs to the structure of cubic crystal system with nacl type. The melting point of pure magnesium oxide is 2800 ℃ ±13 ℃. Its tensile strength, compressive strength and flexural strength are much lower than that of sintered al2o3, and its high temperature strength is lower. MGO is a good insulator. Resistivity > 1014 ω cm, decreases sharply with the increase of temperature at room temperature.
